In the Emile Chouriet workshops, we demonstrate artisanal spirit by carefully crafting exceptional timepieces that combine sophisticated design and complex techniques to embody the ideal of Swiss watchmaking.

In-house movement
The Manufacture caliber of Emile Chouriet
The automatic mechanical movement independently developed by Emile Chouriet has a diameter of 8¾”’ and long power reserve of 45H.
It comprises 137 components, including an escapement and a balance-spring system with a highly sophisticated mechanism and aesthetics enhanced by numerous details.
Independent watchmaking brand
A bold step
The in-house development and assembly of movements as well as special components, such as the hairspring, represent a major step for Emile Chouriet in its assertion as an independent Genevan watchmaking brand.
Perfect balance
Feminine elegance
Emile Chouriet has chosen to start integrating its manufacture movement into its women’s models. To design this movement, the development team repeatedly adjusted the prototype to optimize performance and reliability.
Today, more and more women are becoming interested in traditional watchmaking. As true connoisseurs, they have high expectations regarding the design and quality of the watch. This is why Emile Chouriet must offer high-quality watches to meet these elevated expectations.
The balance wheel and its hairspring
A beating heart
The balance wheel and its hairspring play a crucial role within a movement. As thin as a hair, the hairspring is attached to the balance wheel to produce oscillations.
The process of adjusting the hairspring is very complex and delicate. That’s why very few watchmakers design their own balance wheel-hairspring assembly. What is wonderful is that the hairspring, once in motion, beats like a heart.
Despite advances in science and technology, the structure of the balance wheel-hairspring has changed little since its invention by the Dutch mathematician and scientist Christiaan Huygens in the 17th century.
The brand’s watchmakers have perfected their techniques to create a 4 Hz balance-spring assembly.
Rigorous Testing
Exceptional quality
The prototypes of our manufacture movement undergo rigorous testing by independent laboratories to ensure impeccable quality.
Emile Chouriet is very proud of its manufacture movement, whose precision and durability are certified by tests conducted under real-life conditions.
The brand plans to develop additional movements and complex components for its men’s watches.
COSC Certification
COSC controls 1.8 million mechanical and quartz movements each year. It is currently the only organization in the world capable of performing such a large number of watch tests.
Each certified watch is unique and receives a reference number issued by COSC, which will be engraved on its movement.
The brand Emile Chouriet incorporates COSC-certified movements in some of its watch models.
